The Harvard Club of San Antonio hosted an enthusiastic and energetic online gathering of admitted students with current undergraduates and members on April 26, 2020.

It was a departure from other years, when the Club invites admitted students and their families to join alumni at the Annual Meeting, which takes place over brunch and mimosas at one of San Antonio’s best-loved restaurants. Although the Club had to postpone its in-person gathering, officers still wanted to provide an opportunity for admitted students to learn more about Harvard and meet some students and alumni.

With a total of 23 attendees via Zoom, the event provided an opportunity for the prospective Harvard students to meet each other, share their plans on prospective concentrations and extracurriculars. With current club President Edmund Tijerina ‘87 leading the discussion, the prospective students had a chance to ask about life at Harvard and obtain some advice about navigating an often overwhelming environment.

The event packed in a lot of energy, enthusiasm and information into one hour, letting participants enjoy the rest of their Sunday afternoon.
