Camerata and camaraderie

A live performance of the works of Beethoven and delicious dining at the San Antonio Country Club.

On Sunday afternoon and evening, March 12, members of the Harvard Club of San Antonio (HCSA) enjoyed a performance of the music from Beethoven's later years, followed by a delicious dinner at the San Antonio

Country Club.

The musical performance was part of this season of the Camerata San Antonio – Chamber Music Ensemble. The concert was held in the beautiful Concert Hall on the Broadway campus of the University of the Incarnate Word.

The first part of the program was a magnificent performance of the Beethoven Piano Sonata No. 29 in B-flat Major, Op 106, by pianist Viktor Valkov. The second part of the program was a spirited performance of the Beethoven String Quartet in B-flat Major, Op. 130, by Ken and Emily Freudigman, Anatasia Parker and Matthew Zerweck.

After the concert, we enjoyed dining and fellowship at the San Antonio Country Club. Musicians Ken and Emily Freudigman were able yo join us. Special thanks and gratitude to Didi Weinblatt for organizing our attendance at the concert. And, to Beverly Purcell-Guerra for making arrangements for our dinner.
