It is my honor to invite all our Crimson friends to our Summer 2021 Harvard Club of San Antonio Book Club series “Re-examining Meritocracy: Sandel v Aristotle v Confucius.”
Following our exploration of the Stoic philosophers in the fall, and our careful reading of Pascal in spring, we have had a lively discussions of Michael Sandel’s The Tyranny of Merit, and of Aristotle’s Politics (Book III) in July and last week, respectively. In September we will examine Confucius’s thoughts on meritocracy, too.
